Welcome to the International Reggio Emilia Center, Lakeway. We are a group of educators and researchers who have been working with children for over 15 years whose main objective was to understand why not all children learn in the same way or at the same pace and offer the best way children learn without feeling stressed. A place where they feel comfortable enjoying and having fun. We have  been lifelong preschool educators.

 

The inspiration for our preschool came through our studies, in which we learned extensively about Reggio Emilia education. Based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community through discover and personal exploration in a supportive environment, I have seen the benefits of a Reggio Emilia first hand; greater confidence, a more rounded perspective, and a greater ability and desire for independent learning. In fact, I was fortunate enough to spend time in Reggio Emilia, Italy, witnessing theory and practice first hand. Adding in a second language - Spanish - only supports the approach further, and gives children the foundation for a lifelong gift, a second language.
